Requirements
The TEFL teacher training courses in Vietnam and Cambodia is open to all nationalities, including non-native speakers. For native speakers, a degree or diploma is not required to participate in this program.
Non-native speakers are required to have a bachelor's degree or better and to have a Skype interview before acceptance into the program and offer of the job guarantee.
A police and fingerprint clearance and authentication of your documents (clearance, degree if you have one, photocopies, etc.) will be required at the time of your employment. Ideally, this needs to be started and completed before you leave for Vietnam. We can help you with the process.
Wages
TEFL jobs in Vietnam and Cambodia for foreigners (native English speakers) pay an average of $15.00 per hour. Some teachers earn less working in rural areas where the cost of living is also less. Others earn up to $25.00 per hour teaching at universities, colleges and in the corporate sector.
Most teaching jobs in Vietnam and Cambodia for foreigners require 20 to 30 classroom hours per week. You can be assured there are more positions available teaching English than there are people to fill the positions – many times over.
While the hourly rate of pay for teaching jobs in Vietnam for foreigners is important, it needs to be balanced against the cost of everyday expenses. By any measure, Vietnam is a very cheap place to live.
Typically, ESL teaching jobs in Vietnam and Cambodia for foreigners deliver a take home salary somewhere between US $1,000.00 and US $2,000.00 per month, depending on where the teacher works and how many hours they work. Jobs in Vietnam and Cambodia for foreigners are taxable at a rate of approximately 20%, but most employers quote and pay a net salary and then deal with the Tax Department on your behalf.
With the cost of living in Vietnam and Cambodia being so low, teachers are able to save up to half of their income or even more without cutting corners. About the Course
Our TEFL/TESOL courses in Ho Chi Minh City, Hanoi and Phnom Penh include 150 hours of in-class study over 4 weeks, including 20 hours of hands-on teaching experience with Vietnamese or Cambodian students engaged in on-going English language classes.
The course meets and exceeds all international standards. Certificates are accepted without question, worldwide.
After completing the 4-week program, you will be:
• Highly proficient in creating an interactive and fun learning environment;
• Fully adept at managing a classroom;
• Cognizant of the principles of language use and analysis;
• Knowledgeable about teaching theory and its practical application;

• Ready to teach in Vietnam and elsewhere.

The teacher trainers are native speakers of English, are degree-qualified, hold recognized TESOL/TEFL qualifications and are carefully selected for their experience and friendly personalities.

Course Dates
Class size is limited. Book your course at least 30-60 days in advance. Some classes will book up quite early. Due to the current virus situation in the world, all starting dates are tentative, but understand many people are waiting to get started and we expect that classes will fill very quickly and job openings will be more than plentiful.
